Through George Mason's 65-credit, full-time, year-round program, you'll integrate classroom learning with immersive clinical experiences. You'll work directly with licensed professionals in high school and intercollegiate athletics, sports medicine clinics, professional athletics, public safety and industry, applying science to real-world patient care. With an emphasis on experiential learning and professional readiness, George Mason graduates are prepared to make an immediate impact as athletic trainers dedicated to injury prevention, rehabilitation, and holistic well-being.
Graduates of the program are ready to succeed on the Board of Certification (BOC) exam—recently, 88% pass the exam on their first try—and serve as trusted healthcare professionals who blend critical thinking, compassion, and evidence-based practice in their patient care.
